I am Madhusudan Raj, an economist and retired professor of economics, passionate about helping people understand how markets work and why economic freedom matters.
I hold a PhD in Economics and a graduate degree in Austrian Economics from the Ludwig von Mises Institute in the United States, and I am an alumnus of the Foundation for Economic Education. My background combines academic training with a deep interest in applying economic ideas to everyday social and economic problems.
I am the Founding President of the Mises India Institute, an organization dedicated to promoting free markets, sound money, and individual liberty through education, research, and public outreach. The Institute aims to make economic ideas accessible and relevant to students, professionals, and the general public.
Through teaching, writing, and institutional leadership, my goal is to encourage critical thinking about economics and to promote policies and ideas that support prosperity, freedom, and human cooperation.
